Sweet Nothings
Artist's Statement
These paintings explore
women's handiwork from
the 20th century. In this
series, I transfer lace
doilies into another art
form to highlight their
delicate beauty and
ornamental details. By
preserving them in this
way, I hope to honour the
many nameless women
who passed the time
making this delectable
eye candy.
